Local Rules Effective May 28, 2022 RCGA rules govern all play, except where modified by local rules as below. Pace of Play is 2 hours for nine holes, 4 hours for 18. Grounds Crew have right of way at all times Please repair ball marks and rake bunkers Do not drive power carts within 30 feet of tees, bunkers or greens Please place bunker rakes handles out, rake in. Golfers must be appropriately dressed - no cut-offs or sleeveless T-shirts Alcoholic beverages consumed on the golf course must be purchased on the property All players assume all risks of injury to themselves and all liability to other players for their acts No play zones Staked, fenced and/or flagged trees and shrubs, flowerbeds and newly seeded areas are no play zones and players must take free relief under Rule 16.1. Note that there is no line of sight relief from caged trees and bushes. French drains (drainage filled with stones) are considered ground under repair. This applies if stones are on the surface or can be seen or felt under the surface. Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1 Deer At the player’s option, deer dung may be treated either as a loose impediment that may be removed under Rule 15.1, or Ground under Repair from which stance and swing relief is allowed under Rule 16.1. If your ball is in a deer hoof print in the bunker you may lift, clean, rake and replace the ball on the original spot with no penalty Hole #4/13 Do not play from any portion of the penalty area that includes the brick wall. You must proceed under Rule 17 Hole #8/17 If your ball went into the penalty area behind the green between the green stakes (or it is virtually certain that it went in there) then you may either proceed under rule 17 or use the drop zone near the bridge to the left under a penalty of one stroke. Out of Bounds/Lost Ball For recreational golf only, if a ball is lost or out of bounds you may drop a ball within two club-lengths, but not nearer the hole, of the nearest edge of the fairway at an equal distance from the hole to where the ball was believed to be lost or went out of bounds and add two penalty strokes. This Local Rule may not be used: 1) if a provisional ball is in play, or 2) for a ball in a penalty area, or 3) for an unplayable ball.
